We are able to offer a range of dust filters with UNIQUE Vertical Flameless Venting: VFVTM Should a filter catch fire and an explosion occur, dust extraction filters with VFV™ vent vertically through the roof via an ATEX approved explosion membrane.

  • Vertical release protects the area around the dust filter unit – no need to mark off exclusion areas near a SIDE venting explosion panel.
  • There is NO FIRE BALL: all the dust and flames are contained within the filter unit!  Due to the strengthened design, the unit itself actually remains intact, apart from the explosion release panel at the top.

Filters with this VFV™ technology are unique in the Australian and in fact global dust extraction market.

These units have been independently tested and certified by the German FSA test house.

Ask to see the certification or video confirmation from an authorised test house if you are offered a product that makes the same claims – they are often retrofitting explosion membranes to a basic filter assembly which has not been proven to withstand an event,  and the result of airborne panels and thousands of screws will be devastating anyone in its path.

The VARIpulse™ cleaning system regulates not only the frequency, but also the power, of the pulse cleaning system for your dust extraction unit.

How can VARIpulse™ save you energy?

  • The filter sock cleaning by compressed air is controlled by an automatic sensor
  • Cleaning only occurs when VARIpulse™ sensors detect that the filter bags need pulsing, instead of a fixed every 30 seconds or so, which is the system found on most other dust filters.
  • Less energy is required to clean the bags and VARIpulse™ saves between 50-90% of compressed air consumption – therefore less load on your compressor!
  • When pulse cleaning takes place, each bag is cleaned individually. This is unique to the VARIpulse™ system, saves compressed air, and introduces the cleaning pulse at exactly the correct point above the filter sock. This ensures evenness of cleaning action across EVERY bag in the dust filter.
  • Whilst cleaning individual bags, the VARIpulse™ sensors also measure the air flow through the filter socks and adjusts the pulse forces between 1.5bar and 5bar. This saves another 40-60% of compressed air.
  • Because the filters are all uniformly cleaned and operating at maximum efficiency, the pressure loss through the filter is maintained at optimum levels, to ensure minimal load on the extraction fan and compressed air motors.
